A Special Pair of Shorts for Lily

Toni came to Beckhalina looking for a pair of boxing shorts for her daughter Lily. She wanted something that felt special, something made just for her, and something Lily would feel proud to wear.

Designing Something Personal

Every bespoke piece begins with an idea. For Lily’s shorts, the aim was to create something that would stand out while still feeling strong and confident for competition. The black sequinned fabric gives the shorts a striking presence, catching the light with every movement, while the wide waistband carries Lily’s name so she can step into the ring knowing the piece was made especially for her.

Movement and Detail

Careful attention went into every part of the design. The sequinned fabric was cut and shaped to allow freedom of movement, while the side fringe adds energy and flow as Lily moves. Each element was assembled and finished by hand, making sure the shorts felt comfortable, secure, and ready for the intensity of a match.

A Moment to Remember

Not long after receiving them, Lily wore her new shorts for her fight. Toni later sent a message that made the whole process even more meaningful. Hey Annie it’s Toni. Thank you so much for Lily’s shorts. She loves them and they look really nice. And they brought her luck because she won. She’s already thinking about her next pair.

Hearing that Lily stepped into the ring with confidence and came away with a win made this project truly special. Knowing she loved the shorts and already wants another pair is the best feedback a maker can receive.
